Good morning:) It's 0236 and I'm at work... as usual! Just wanted to write a little blog about my past week and what not.
Two Wednesdays ago I finally went to Trader Joe's and got TONS of stuff!!!
Whole grain bread, low carb tortillas, spinach, asparagus, plums, strawberries, clam chowder, pasta, spaghetti sauce, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, protein shakes, fish oil capsules, orange chicken, pot stickers, low fat french toast, chili lime chicken burgers, mahi mahi, chicken, Cheddar cheese, skinny fries, almonds, mango creme ice cream bars, frozen mango chunks, mini cafe twists anddddd... I think that's it!! lol
On Friday I tried the french toast. It's so good! And only 110 calories a slice!!:) I had it with strawberries and a fried (organic brown) egg! I've made some wraps with the tortillas and chicken, grilled the mahi mahi, and snacked on all the little things!:) I'm definitely going to start shopping there more often!
Here's a picture of dinner from Tuesday night. We had the mahi mahi grilled with lemon. It's so good, even just cooked so simple like that! Baby red skin potatoes, and steamed asparagus.
It would have been a really healthy dinner besides that fact that I decided to be bad and have a four loko, along with some bad drinking snacks!!:( So that kinda ruined it. But either way, it was so good!:)
I think I did pretty good exercise wise. I did something every day, except for today of course. I never exercise on weigh in days because I don't want my muscles to retain water, and besides, I barely eat anything on weigh in days!
I mostly did the Shred, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, No More Trouble Zones, walking, and running! And the elliptical on Thursday night!!!:) Which made me sweat like CRAZY! It literally felt like someone dumped a bucket of water on me... but that's a good thing!:)
Wednesday night we had grilled chicken breasts, corn on the cob and green beans with my attempt to sliver an almond lol. ONE almond... oh well!:)
That was also the same day we went running/walking on the Wincopin Trail. It's AWESOME! It's pretty long, we did about 2.29 miles. We started off running, then walked for a little. Once it got to really steep hills, we would usually walk. Sometimes it would drop almost straight down! Plus, it was really rocky! But such a great run. It was really shady back there too, so I wasn't dying from the blazing sun!!
There's some cool spots with overlooks that look into the river. So pretty!:) I definitely need to go again, who wants to join me?:)
Ok, time to get on with the weigh in! I STILL haven't been weighing myself at home! It's been great:) No more scale addiction!

Weight Lost - 1.4 Pounds
Total Weight Lost - 59.2 Pounds!
So close to my 60 pound mark!!! Ahh! So that's 3 really consistent losses in a row. I'm pretty happy with that!:)
Anyways, I gotta get back to work! Thanks for reading and hopefully by my next blog I will have reached 60 pounds loss!!!:) Oh, and I changed my goal weight from 160 to 150... so we will see!!

Week 2 Weigh In
Sorry that picture is kind of blurry, just wanted to show my kind-of-getting-there-abs! lol:) Still got a long ways to go, but hopefully one day I will have an awesome stomach that I LOVE to show off!!:)
So I think this has been a pretty decent week, besides splurging a little/not exercising on the weekend. But Sunday I did B210k, Monday I did "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism," Tuesday I did the Shred level 2, Wednesday I ran/walked in the morning, then did B210k at night! And today, I just did some crunches and push ups because I really don't work out on my weigh in days. Don't want my muscles to retain fluids:)
Let me tell you what happened to me Wednesday night! I decided to do B210k, which by the way, I'm not sure if I've mentioned that yet? B210k stands for "Bridge to 10k" and it's the new program I'm doing, which basically picks up where Couch to 5k left off!:)
So far I really like it!! The first week was...
5 minute warm up walk
Run 10 minutes
Walk 1 minute
Run 10 minutes
Walk 1 minute
Run 10 minutes

5 minute cool down walk
So even though you only get 1 minute walking breaks, every time you start a new 10 minute run, it feels like "Cool, only 10 minutes!" lol:)
Now I'm on week 2 and it's...

It was a little bit harder, but I like that there's only 3 intervals, instead of 4. Oh, but back to Wednesday night! I started B210k, week 2, day 2. I decided to do it on the treadmill because a) it was 9:30pm and b) it was still hot as heck outside!
I finished the first 15 minute run and felt pretty good. I was 2 minutes into the second 15 minute run when my treadmill started acting a little weird. It felt like it was vibrating a lot and going a little slower. I kept running but eventually every step I took was sticking! Then every step made it squeak really loud and pretty much just stop! So I turned it off! I was so mad!!
Since I really wanted to finish that run, I decided to just do it outside! Even though it was dark, hot and humid, I still did it anyways! And actually, once I started running outside, I felt like I was gliding! I could tell I was going way faster than when I was on the treadmill too!
It was definitely hot, but this was one of the best runs I've had! I finished up that second 15 minute run and instead of stopping for the 1 minute walk, I ran through it! That's how good I was feeling!:) The rest of the run went by so much faster outside, then it did on the treadmill. I officially prefer outdoor running!!:)

Yes!:) It's coming off! Slowly, but surely. I know it was bound to happen... my losses getting smaller and smaller. But as long as I keep losing something, I'll be happy! I just miss my old 4 pound losses!:)
I'm determined to make this an awesome week! Gonna try my best to get in some really good work outs, at least on the days I'm off. I do exercise on days that I work, just not as much! And I'm gonna try to eat really good. Especially since I just went to Trader Joe's and got lots of healthy food!!:)

Biggest Loser 3 - Week 1 Weigh In
Hello everyone. As usual, my apologies for the lack in updates! I pretty much only update once a week now. Too busy exercising!
Biggest Loser 2 came to an end last week, and I ended up being the overall winner again!!I only won the first of the four, 3 week segments, but overall, I lost more weight than everyone else!:) That's a pretty good feeling:)
We started the Biggest Loser 3 immediately after. Instead of having a new "Initial Weigh In," we just kept our last weights from the previous biggest loser, and used those as our starting weight.
Starting weight for biggest loser 3 - 176.8
Current Weight - 175.0
Weight Lost - 1.8 pounds
Total Weight Lost - 56.4 Pounds!
I'm pretty happy about that! I think my regular exercise, and making sure to reach at least 1,200 calories a day has helped a lot! I still have not been weighing myself at home at all. I think it's helped with my anxiety over how much I'm losing. I was always paranoid before about how my weigh in would be. Now I'm just relaxed about it:)
I went to the firehouse twice this past week. Which is great because they have workout equipment in the boat house, including an elliptical, which I love! Both times I was on it for an hour, and then did some weight lifting. Love it!
Last week, on July 12th, I took the PGFD written test, and passed!:) There were A LOT of people taking the test! I'm actually surprised I passed! lol.
I ALSO got called by PGPD for an interview!!!! I'm so nervous! I'm currently working on getting my blue book all filled out. It sure is a lot!!
Friday, Phebe and I went to Ocean City! We drove up in the morning and went straight to Assateague. I was kind of nervous to wear my bikini, but I did! And I was surprisingly not too uncomfortable!! I went in the water, walked around on the beach, etc. It was a good feeling!:)
We stayed on the beach for about 3-4 hours. Totally got burned! Ouch. But that will eventually turn into a nice golden brown;) lol.
After we left, we went over to Seacrets for dinner. Yum! I LOVE their crab toast. It's so delicious! Phebe got the seafood quesadilla, which was also really good. I had 3 pain in the asses. Mmmm!
We stayed there for awhile, talked to some weird guys, then headed back home. By the time we got showered and settled down, it was dark. So we decided to watch "INSIDIOUS" which is my new favorite scary movie! I'm surprised Phebe was able to sit through the whole thing, especially considering our house is kind of similar to the one in the movie! lol
We were supposed to get up at 3am and go to the beach to hang out and wait for the sun to rise, but SOMEONE didn't want to wake up! lol! So we slept in, till 8am, then went to the beach for round 2 of tanning! Once again, it was BLAZING out! We definitely got our burn on!
We left the beach around 1ish and went to get lunch at Sunset Grille. MMMM! My new favorite place to eat in Ocean City! It's so delicious, and has an awesome view!:)
We came back home later that day. It was an awesome trip and I had a blast! Can't wait for more beach trips.
Besides eating a little bad on the weekend, and not exercising, I think I've done pretty well so far. I'm hoping my weigh in is at least a little loss!:) I'll be weighing in Thursday night, so I'll try to update then! Can't wait to hit 60 pounds... I'm gonna get my hair cut and dyed!:)

Week 12 Weigh In
Hellllllllo!! I hope every one's week has been as good as mine!:)
So, in my last blog I said that my goal was to work out HARD every day till my next weigh in, to reach at least 1,200 calories every day, and have a GOOD WEIGH IN! Well, I achieved most of that!
Friday - Ate 1,207 Calories/Burned 566 Calories doing Jillian Michael's "No More Trouble Zones"
Saturday - Ate 1,372 Calories/Burned 432 Calories walking 4.34 Miles
Sunday - Ate 2,394 Calories (Oops)/Burned 1070 Calories doing Jillian Michael's "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" and "Shred Level 2" We went to Charlie's Aunt and Uncle's for 4th of July and I indulged a little too much!:(
Monday - Ate 1,058 Calories (a little low)/Burned 1008 Calories doing "Bridge to 10k Week 1, Day 1"
Tuesday - Ate 1,427 Calories/Burned 338 Calories doing "Shred Level 3"
Wednesday - Ate 1,201 Calories/Burned 874 Calories doing "Bridge to 10k Week 1, Day 2"
Thursday (Today) Ate 1,236 Calories/Burned 149 Calories swimming laps and treading water
All in all, I'd say I did really good! Minus Sunday! haha... That was pretty bad, but I did try to make up for it in exercises!:) I've never done multiple DVDs in one day!:) I felt really good after that!
On Sunday, Roch and I went to Arundel Mills to go shopping. My intention was to only spend 40 dollars on like 2 shirts... Well, that didn't go too well!
I did end up getting two shirts... and a necklace... and a ring! So I went a little over, by like 10 dollars. Unfortunately, Roch suggested that we go into the new Coach outlet that they just opened. I didn't think I would buy anything. I'm not a huge Coach fan or anything. Don't own anything of theirs.
Well, they were having a sale... 50% off of a lot of their stuff, plus, a 30% off your entire purchase coupon! Grrr!! I saw a few things that were cute, but I wasn't in love with anything, until I saw this bag!!!! I loved it! There was one competitor, a black and grey Poppy bag, but this one won!:) I <3 it!!! The best part... it was originally $389, I got it for $101!! AWESOME!!!
It was a great weekend overall. We watched the fireworks in Laurel on Saturday night. They were actually really good! Even though I've lived in Laurel for almost 3 years, I've never watched them here before. It was especially nice watching from atop ladder truck 6:)
As I mentioned earlier, Sunday we went to Charlie's Aunt and Uncle's house to eat dinner and watch fireworks. His uncle actually put together a whole little firework display. They were really legit though! I mean like BIG fireworks! It was pretty awesome:) Besides eating too much lol.
I worked Monday night. I had a great view of the fireworks on the Mall from my unit:) Unfortunately, I had to float to Medical Care Unit at 2300:( It wasn't too bad of a night though. Just really boring!
Tuesday night was great! We were originally supposed to go to RA Sushi in Baltimore with Caitlin, Tim, Sam, and her husband David. Unfortunately, Sam couldn't make it in time:( But Darla ended up coming last minute with Nick!:) It was a good time!
They have happy hour from 3-7 so we ordered 12 rolls, apps, and drinks!! It ended up being a really good price! The sushi was great! Especially this one roll they have called a "Viva Las Vegas Roll" It was delicious!:) I will definitely go back!
Afterwards we hung out at Darla's house which is sweet! I love it. They have an awesome roof top deck with a beautiful view!! We hung out up there talking, listening to music, and drinking:) Fabulous night!:)
Wednesday we watched Maddie while Katie was at work. She's gotten so big, it's crazy!! We were there from 8am to 4pm. She was pretty good for the most part. It's definitely different taking care of her compared to all the babies at my work.
Charlie did a lot too, I was pretty proud of him:) But it was a good experience for the both of us!
Ok, now for my FINAL weigh in of the 12 week competition!
Previous Weight - 179.8
Current Weight - 176.8
Weight Lost - 3 Pounds!!!!
Total Weight Lost - 54.6 Pounds!!! Finalllllly!! I thought I was gonna be stuck on a plateau forever!! I think making sure to get my 1,200 calories every day definitely helped!! As well as my hard work outs:) I'm so happy I finally lost!!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also gave up weighing myself for the whole week!! So I had no clue what I was gonna be when I weighed in, it was so nerve wracking! Luckily it was a good outcome. I think I will only weigh myself at work now:)
The total I lost during the first Biggest Loser was 33 pounds. This 2nd round I lost 26 pounds. I know that doesn't add up to 54.6, but that's because I gained a little between the 1st and 2nd biggest loser. If that makes sense!
I'm pretty happy about this round. There was definitely more downs than ups, but now I know not to starve myself anymore! Not good!:) I'm going to join the 3rd Biggest Loser too... it starts next week! I'll update with my starting weight next week!

Week 9 & Week 11 Weigh In
Yup, that's how I'm starting off this blog. FAT. LOL:) That's a picture of me, HAPPILY indulging in a brownie sundae from Sunset Grille in Ocean City. Absolutely amazing!! I loved every bite!<3
Anyways, let me tell you my results from my weigh in before I went on vacation, so, two weeks ago.
As you can see from my last blog, I only lost 0.6 pounds. Not so great. Well, that's was on Thursday, June 9th. Then I had to weigh in again on Tuesday, June 14th. So not even a whole week between the two weigh ins, unfortunately. Here's how it went... :(
Previous Weight - 179.0
Current Weight - 180.0
Gained 1 Pound!!!!
Total Weight Lost - 51.4 Pounds.
Definitely depressing. Especially since I was hoping for a good loss before heading to the beach. Not the case! But I decided that I really wasn't eating enough. Looking back at my diaries, sometimes I don't even reach 1,200 calories, and with how much I work out, I know I need to. I guess I just always feel like less food is better, but in reality it was hurting my weight loss. Basically I was just making my body want to store any fat that it ate, because it thought I was starving! Not good. So now I strive for 1,200 calories every day:)
We had so much fun in Ocean City! I tried to eat good the first 2 days and exercise, but that's all I did lol. The rest of the time I pigged out! We had... Station 7, Sunset Grille, Crab Bag, Thrashers, Anthony's Pizza, Harborside, Seacrets, Fish Tales, etc!!! Lots of bad food!! But it was so delicious!!!
I was so scared to weigh myself when I got home! Wasn't sure how bad it was going to be! My weight before I left was 180, when I got on the scale it said 186.6!! Yikes! Gained 6.6 pounds in 9 days! But I was determined to get it off, and hopefully a little extra, by my next weigh in!!
I worked really hard as soon as we got back! I've walked/ran 20.01 miles since we came home on Friday. I've done push ups, crunches, lifted weights, did the elliptical, and did a Jillian Michael's video. I worked my butt off!!! And it only paid off a little, I guess...

Current Weight - 179.8
Weight Lost in 6 days - 6.8
Weight Lost from Previous Weight - 0.2
Overall Weight Lost - 51.6 Pounds
So I guess that's not too bad, for just coming back from vacation! But as always, I'm disappointed. My goal from this day, till the next weigh in, is to work out HARD every day, eat really good, always reaching at least 1,200 calories, and to have a GOOD weigh in next week! Next week is also the LAST weigh in of the 2nd Biggest Loser! Can't believe another 12 weeks has already gone by! I'll let you know what my total weight loss was for those 12 weeks on my next blog.
Sorry I haven't been updating too much lately, just been too busy working out I guess! lol:) I'll try harder, because I know there's SOME people out there who do read this! (Hi Rayna lol) :)

Week 8 Weigh In
*Sighhhhhh* Yes, I'm starting this blog out on a bad note. It's not terrible news, but I'm not that happy.
First off, after I wrote that blog on Monday, we decided to go camping Tuesday into Wednesday. It was just a spur of the moment decision!
I slept till about 1ish and then got up and packed things up real quick, then left. We packed the minimal things needed. And I didn't want to eat too much since I was gonna weigh in Wednesday, so we only brought a few things to eat.
The drive there was good. No traffic or anything. When we left the house, it was sunny, but once we got there it was kind of overcast, which sucked because I hate not being able to see in the water! I like to know where I'm stepping lol.
We fished for awhile, didn't catch a single thing! We had a few bites though. We made a little fire. Charlie cooked one of these freeze dried meals he had. He didn't really like it, so I ate it. Too bad it was 520 calories for the whole thing! Ew. It's because they're supposed to be for people who hike for days and need a quick, high calorie meal.
Anyways, I ended up eating a lot of little things throughout the day, but I didn't think I did too bad.
We went to bed around 10:00pm. It's so scary! There was lots of creepy noises out in the woods. Luckily I fell asleep pretty fast. Charlie on the other hand, had a terrible sleep lol.
We woke up around 8:30am and left right away. We were ready to get back home! The ride was good till Tyson's Corner where we hit tons of traffic! Ugh, it sucked. We got home around Noon.
Once we unpacked, I decided to go for a long walk. My goal was to walk 5 miles, get really hot and sweaty, and burn over 500 calories. I accomplished all of that, and then some!!
Walked for 5.49 miles. It took 88 minutes. I ran for 15 minutes of that. Burned 1,182 calories!! Glorious! I was so happy, hot, and sweaty!! What a great feeling:) But, when I got back from my walk, I decided to weigh myself. Not good! It wasn't any different than my last weight, so I decided to give myself an extra day and weigh in on Thursday... Yeah, didn't help much! Here's my weigh in...

Total Weight Lost - 52.4 Pounds
So, of course I'm not all excited about it like my 6 pound loss last week, but oh well!:/ Hopefully the next one will be better!
Here's my May calendar. I know it's hard to read my handwriting. I suck at writing on those kind of boards. But, it looks like I worked out every day excepts 6 days out of 31.
And 4 of the days I didn't workout were because I was super sick! I think that's pretty good:)

Week 7 Weigh In
What a great week it was! Sorry I haven't updated in over a week! Oops!:) But it was worth it, trust me!
Ok, so I had that horrible weigh in last week, as we know. Well, a 0.4 pound gain, but that is horrible to me!! I never wanted to gain anything!:(
I can't quite recall what I did during the week. We had the 5k Saturday, and I worked that night. Then I also work Sunday Monday and Wednesday. Boo!:(
But, Wednesday was good, because that's when I weighed in!:) And he are my lovely results...

Current Weight - 179.6
Weight Lost - 6 Pounds!!!!
Total Weight Lost - 51.8 Pounds!!!
So I passed my 50 pound mark!!! Heck yeah!!! In your face 0.4 gain!!!
It feels sooooo amazing to say I'm in the 170s!!! It's crazy! Can't believe I'm at this point!:) Only 19 pounds to go till I reach my goal of 160:)
Thursday was a blast! We went out to Looney's for Tim's birthday. I didn't make the best food choices, but it was so fun! I had a crab pretzel, which was delicious!:) And LOTS of drinks!
I like to splurge after a good loss though!:)
Friday was Charlie's birthday. We didn't do too much. Just went in the pool. Then went to Outback for dinner. Oh, and cleaned ALL DAY!! Ughh... but the house looks amazing, and it's like a weight lifted off my shoulders!:)
So for the past month or so, I've been planning a surprise birthday party for Charlie! It's been tough, getting everyone in on the plan and what not, but we pulled it off!!:)
Sunday I walked Chief to the dog park and back, which totaled 4 miles. It was nice!:) Then when I got back home, Charlie was getting ready to go shooting with his Dad, Aunt, and Uncle, which was the plan to get him out of the house;)
He thought that I had to work that night, but right after he left, my mom and sisters came over with all the food and we went to his parents house to set up everything. We had potato salad, deviled eggs, shrimp dip, sour cream and onion dip, buffalo chicken dip, hamburgers, hot dogs, sangria, strawberry lemonade, and strawberry shortcake!!:) TOO much food!! lol But it was sooo delicious!!
Everyone got to the house around 4:30, then we just waited...
Charlie got to the house around 5:30 ish and when he walked into the house we were all there and yelled "surprise!!!" It was great!! The look on his face was priceless. He was truly surprised!:)
It was a perfect day! The food was awesome, we played games in the yard. It was great being surrounded by my family:) I had a blast, and I think he enjoyed it too!:)
Anyways... I'm not really in a writing mood right now... lol so I think I'm gonna end this blog now:) I will update Wednesday (hopefully) after my weigh in!
